Trend Alert: Copper

Copper seems to be everywhere, especially when it comes to homewares. Every time I log on to Pinterest there’s more metal inspiration for me to swoon over. From copper kitchen piping being used as a feature instead of hidden away, to home decorative items, this bronze coloured metal is definitely one of the major interior looks of 2014 – and is set to get even bigger in 2015.

At first I thought copper should only really be teamed with warmer tones and whites, but then when I saw the greys and stainless steel coffee table below with a copper top, I realised it works with pretty much most things. If you want to get this trend in your home I’ve done a little collage of my favourite items below.

Take a look at some of my copper inspiration pictures too and let me know if this is something you’d try and style into your home.

Holiday Wardrobe Staples

Ever wanted to know what someone’s holiday staples are? Well here are mine…

Lace ShortsH&M – £14.99 – These gorgeous lace shorts have an elasticated waist and are incredibly flattering. The natural white colour compliments a tan brilliantly and they go with almost anything!

Trailing Flower ShortsTopshop – £35 – These tangerine embroidered shorts are a perfect statement piece to add to your holiday wardrobe – much like the previous shorts, this colour compliments a tan and will look fabulous for any occasion.

MOTO Hallie Denim HotpantsTopshop – £30 – These have fast become a blogger staple. And let me tell you… they’re worth the hype! Super comfy and stretchy, great thrown on with anything, and best of all… no bum cheeks in sight!

Black Lattice Ring BikiniTopshop – £34 – The perfect bikini. The top is a beautiful design, with latticed sides which is really flattering… and best of all.. it doesn’t squeeze you in all the wrong places!

Ruche Stripe Bandeau BikiniTopshop – £32 – This navy and white stripe bandeau bikini is super flattering and chic. The pattern is effortless, whilst still looking polished. Perfect from poolside to beach!

Rafiela T Cardinal Red Foldover BikiniReiss – This bikini is gorgeous! Just look at the colour! It’s firecracker red and is gorgeous against a tan. A statement bikini is a real must have for any holiday, it adds a little somethin’ somethin’ to your poolside arsenal.

White Twisted Knot Front TunicTopshop – £30 – This lightweight twisted beach tunic is gorgeous and light, which is perfect for the hot weather. It offers the right amount of coverage for slipping on over a bikini to grab lunch, whilst still being sheer and flattering. A definite staple for any hot holiday destination.

Cut-out Crinkle Overlay SundressTopshop – £34 – Everyone needs a sun-dress when they’re on holiday, and this one is a perfect wardrobe staple that will look fabulous paired up with heeled sandals and a kimono or paired down with flats.

Cheesecloth NightshirtTopshop – £32 – Now, I don’t strictly use this as a nightshirt, because I think it’s far too nice! It’s 100% cotton, so it’s nice and airy for the humid summer nights abroad. It can be worn buttoned up as a dress, or undone as a kimono. I even think this would work as a beach cover up.

Maxi DressH&M – £12.99 – This dress is perfect for the summer – with a long jersey racer back maxi nothing can go wrong. You’ll never be caught out with the whole “what do I wear” scenario because this is great for any occasion! And it’s cheap too!

High Neck Animal CamiTopshop – £12 – This is my ‘dressy’ evening staple. A silky patterned cami that adds a bit of glamour to anything you pair with it. Perfecto! Just try the normal plain cami’s for an everyday outfit look!

Frill Hem SuntopTopshop – £26 – This is gorgeous! So flattering and dainty. It looks great paired with denim shorts or dressed up with a body con skirt.

Lulu Guinness Four-Wheeled Lips Suitcase 69cm – And of course you need something to pack everything into.. which is where this b-e-a-utiful case comes in. Don’t be fooled by the quirky exterior of this four-wheel case – it’s built to last. Designed with signature lip-shaped mouldings, this large case will not only glide through an airport with fashionable ease but will also survive the many trials of a luggage hold! This is the perfect choice for the travelling fashionista.

So… pack your bags! And don’t forget to let me know where you’re going…!
