The Blush Revolution

Hold the phone. *Insert heart eyed emoji here* Aren’t these just beautiful?

I dropped the deets on the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder Palette on Sunday so if you haven’t seen that post then you can catch it here – so… imagine these powders crossed with a pop of colour and voila! The Ambient Lighting Blush is born. The integration of Photoluminescent Technology offers transformative coverage while instilling cheeks with an out of this world flush.

The ALB are a hybrid between the different glow giving powder formulas and traditional powder blushes which are formulated to impart a natural glow from within. Multiple products? Ain’t nobody got time for that.

This six strong line-up landed in February, mixing the best-selling Ambient Lighting Powder formula with 6 different pops of colour. Handmade in Italy, no two pans are the same, and they’re all beautiful. I can’t say I own anything else like this in my blush stash – brightening, flushing, and oh so pretty.

Top L-R and Bottom L-R
Diffused Heat – A vibrant poppy blush combined with Diffused Light for a subtle halo effect.

Radiant Magenta – A golden fuchsia blush combined with Radiant Light for a summer glow.

Luminous Flush – A champagne rose blush fused with Luminous Light to evoke a candlelit glimmer.

Dim Infusion – A subdued coral blush fused with Dim Light to add warmth.

Mood Exposure – A soft plum blush fused with Mood Light to brighten the complexion.

Ethereal Glow – A cool pink blush fused with Ethereal Light for a moonlit luminosity.

Here are my recommendations as to what colours will compliment each different skin tone:

Fair Skin: Dim Infusion and Ethereal Glow

Medium Skin: Luminous Flush and Mood Exposure

Dark Skin: Radiant Magenta and Diffused Heat

My favourite? It’s a tough one. I’ll go for Luminous Flush or Dim Infusion.

These truly are the next generation of blushes: they’re a groundbreaking hybrid of two wonderful concepts that deliver a seamless, soft-focus colour and radiant natural finish.

They can be found in Space NK retailing at £28 each. So what’re you waiting for?! Which shade are you going to choose?
