Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette

Now I think it would be best if we all just took a minute to sit and admire the beauty of this palette. This 3-in-1 glow giver has all of your highlighting and powdering needs covered, and boy is this a good’un.

The kit consists of three Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders in a smooth gunmetal silver compact with a sample-size of the Veil Mineral Primer which is a whole other story!

The shades in question are Dim Light, Incandescent Light (exclusive to this palette) and Radiant Light. Which, if you’re unfamiliar with the function these powders perform; they act as a personal lighting system, blurring, colour correcting and highlighting where needed.

These powders are like no others, their high-tech, soft-focus finish mimics all sorts of lighting that floods your face. They work by manipulating the way that light reflects on your skin, giving the highly sought after ‘luminous finish’ without looking greasy or shiny.

Dim Light – is the ‘neutral peach beige’ and the setting powder of the bunch. It works by blurring imperfections on the face such as enlarged pores all whilst imparting a natural-looking highlight to the high parts of the face. Think.. a setting powder without a cake-face finish.

Incandescent Light – is the ‘opalescent pearl’ that brightens the complexion and adds a celestial glow. This is the most shimmer packed of the three and fits the bill of a classic highlighter. Perfect for in the corners of the eyes and top of the cheeks.

Radiant Light – is the ‘sun-kissed golden beige’, acting as a very light and natural looking bronzer – rounding things off nicely by imparting a bronzey golden glow to the face. Perfect for all over the face, collar bones and the shins… just everywhere!

I picked mine up for £56 from Space NK a pricey investment, but a necessary one none the less!
